You ate WHAT?

Just when you thought we couldn't get any weirder, and after you heard that I eat raw corn, you read this: today for lunch, I had raw rice. It was delicious! We actually tried it for the first time at one of the raw restaurants in New York last week, so we decided to make it ourselves. It is really quite simple: you soak the rice in water for a day or so, and then you drain it. You then place in a bowl over some olive oil and salt. Put it in the fridge after it has marinated for a while, and you have a delicious item as a meal or a side item! It is REALLY good. The oil makes it tastes like buttery rice. Soaking it in the water softens up the rice, but it will still be "al dente."
This could be a movie treat for me--buttered popcorn is one of the few cooked foods that I actually miss (yes, it's true). I could post a blog about raw corn, but just take it from me--it is MUCH better raw than cooked. Go out and try an ear!

I'm fascinated with this . . . we were trying to think about all of the things you could eat and we are wondering if you miss anything else besides popcorn? What about Alicia?! You two are amazing! You've inspired us to eat better and more raw veggies and fruit. We have got to get healthier and your stories have been an inspiration to us.
